Our apprentices from previous years consistently say the programme has a profound positive impact on their lives.

Charlee from the 2014 intake said: “Where I grew up, everyone is either doing nothing and living on benefits, or joins a gang. I was stuck in that until I made the decision to change my life, and thanks to LTSB I was able to pass my exams and keep the job I love.

Alisa from the 2014 intake said: “This programme has changed my life and I had never imagined I’d be in a position where I am working and studying at the same time. LTSB has laid the perfect platform for my career going forward and has made me a role model in my community.

Our programme starts in September each year. The first four months comprises an unpaid pre-apprenticeship programme. Successful applicants will learn sports coaching skills that they will put into practice with our partner football club foundations. Then they will commence study of AAT Level 2 (Foundation Certificate in Accounting) with our training provider partners. They will also undertake personal development and employability training. Interviews will take place from the autumn, so that paid, 18-month apprenticeships will commence in the new year.

We deliver our programme in Birmingham, Liverpool, London and Manchester. Our football club foundation partners are Aston Villa Foundation, Chelsea Foundation, City in the Community, Liverpool FC Foundation, Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, and West Ham United Foundation.
