With 5 GCSEs A* to C and B in Maths in English, a spark of leadership potential, and a desire to succeed - you can apply for the unique Leadership Through Sport & Business "More Than An Apprenticeship" programme. A levels are a bonus and will provide access to some of our employers who still require UCAS points for apprenticeship opportunities but are not essential for most roles.
Leadership Though Sport & Business provides access to the accountancy profession through AAT Level 3 apprenticeships. We aim to launch your career with world class organisations such as EY, RSM, RBS, RSM, Mazars, Eversheds, ICAP, Macquarie, Tullett Prebon, Grant Thornton, Crowe Clark Whitehill, BKL, Close Brothers, Johnson Matthey, Kingston Smith and Carpetright.
Apprenticeships enable you to earn while you learn. Our employers pay at least the National Minimum Wage for a 5-day week including 1 day release to College to study AAT Level 3, Leadership Through Sport & Business events and Volunteering with a Premiership Football Club Foundation. In London most employers pay the London Living Wage of £9.40 p.h. Many employers in Birmingham and Manchester pay the National Living Wage.
“I completed A-Levels and attended the College of Haringey Enfield & North East London’s open day and was introduced to the Leadership Through Sport & Business programme,” said Tuoyo Egodo, 19, who is an AAT Level 3 apprentice at RBS.
“This programme attracted me in terms of placement as I always wanted to work for a top UK bank and I was delighted when Leadership Through Sport & Business placed me at RBS as an AAT Level apprenticeship for 12 months."
Sabrina Ahmad, 19, who is an AAT Level 3 apprentice at RSM, said: “The Leadership Through Sport & Business programme has given me the chance to gain 12 months’ work experience with one of the world's largest accounting firms RSM-UK, at the same time it has allowed me to study AAT Level 3 at the College of Haringey Enfield and North East London and to benefit from the ongoing personal and professional development events that LTSB provide."
Amy Humphreys joined the Leadership Through Sport & Business programme straight from school following CGSEs.
"After leaving school with no A-levels I didn’t dream of ending up at a fantastic firm such as ICAP at just 17-years-old and meeting some truly inspiring people along the way. If someone had told me 16 months ago I would be in a global, leading company in the City such as ICAP I would have laughed at them. Honestly when I made the decision not to pursue school and go to university I thought I had ruled out having a job like this. It’s an opportunity that I would never have had without Leadership Through Sport & Business." Amy Humphreys, completed her AAT Level 3 apprenticeship in 2014 and was hired full time by ICAP, where she went on to study AAT Level 4.
