AAT Apprentice goes to Parliament
Saturday 27th August 2016
The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) invited Leadership through Sport & Business to put forward a representative of our programme to participate in a Parliamentary review of Apprenticeships We chose Bola Lawal, who is currently placed at BKL for her 12 month apprenticeship.
"I was given the excellent opportunity to share my experiences of the AAT Level 3 apprenticeship and of the application process as a whole. I believe that the other apprentices and I were able to give the MPs a true idea of how effective the apprenticeships have been and how the support provided by various organisations that we are associated with has substantially helped us become better employees.
We were also able to highlight the improvements that need to be made in schools and colleges and also means of amending society's perspective of apprenticeships as a whole.
Overall I believe that this event was a success and I am incredibly proud that my contribution towards this report would pave the way and promote apprenticeships in the future."
