The Chelsea Foundation and Westminster Kingsway College

The Chelsea Foundation

Formed in 2010, the Chelsea Foundation brings together the Football in the Community and the Education department along with the club’s other charitable and community activities, including environment and anti-discrimination projects.

As one of the world’s leading football social responsibility programmes the Chelsea Foundation uses the power of sport to motivate, educate and inspire. We believe that the power of football can be harnessed to support communities and individuals both at home and abroad.

On top of our outstanding football development programmes, the Chelsea Foundation works on a broad range of initiatives focusing on employment, education, social deprivation, crime reduction, youth offending and much more.

Leadership Through Sport & Business are extremely proud to announce that we have formed an association with the Chelsea Foundation to run one of our Leadership and Finance AAT apprenticeships.  They will be providing us with our Leadership training,  Leadership in Action, help with reaching the right learners, the use of their experienced coaches and mentors and the power of football to help transform young people’s lives.

Leadership Development – FA Level 1 Coaching, Mentoring, Safeguarding, First Aid and Referee Training.

Leadership in Action  – Coaching and mentoring younger children through football club outreach programmes across the community.

Our academic partner for the AAT studies will be the Westminster Kingsway College.

Westminster Kingsway College

Westminster Kingsway College (WKC), one of the best performing further education colleges in London,  is our education delivery partner for the Chelsea Cohort.

In 2015-16 we piloted a unique educational satellite delivery by WKC, in conjunction with the Chelsea Foundation at Stamford Bridge, to teach AAT Level 2 during the 4 month pre-employment programme and is delivering Level 3 at their Regents Park location as part of a 12 month apprenticeship.
